Hide and Seek is the sixth episode of the second series of The Dark Railway Series.
Plot
The Dark Railway is going through a very quiet phase, and Mr. Dark is away at a convention in Scotland. The engines are trying to think of something to do and an argument breaks out amongst them before Owen comes up with an idea: hide and seek. They lay out the rules as being that they can hide anywhere on the DR, but are not allowed to leave it. Before anyone can officially declare a seeker, everyone except Dave leaves the shed, leaving him to start counting.
Once Dave finishes counting to a hundred, he begins searching, finding Brian standing right in front of him. The two engines then begin looking for the others, and first find Theo and Otto at the Gasworks and Colin at the Industrial Estate. They proceed further down the line, finding Ryan at Walschurch, Raymond at Soma, Allan at Axley, and Dai at Galen Junction. However, no matter how hard they try, nobody can find Owen. Three days later, they decide that he must have broken the rules and left the line, and Dave declares Dai the winner.
Unbeknownst to the other engines, however, Owen is at the Industrial Estate, trapped behind a long train of tankers.
