Fowler is a small goods engine, who used to work on the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway during the 1950's and 1960's. He is Ed's brother, and was a colleague of Dave and Sid's.
Bio[]
Fowler was built on October 31st, 1927 at Derby Works, therefore being slightly younger than his surviving brother Ed, but with a lower running number due to the fact that Ed went straight to the S&D with the number 30, whereas Fowler went into LMS stock as 4422.
It is unknown what he did before he came to the S&D in the 1950's, but, like Ed, he didnt like working much, and would often complain and cause arguments. He was especially mean to 44826, but often backed down when No. 5 stepped in.
In 1963, No. 5 was withdrawn, which gave Fowler (as he had called himself) the idea to run away from the railway and try again elsewhere. Unfortunately, his other brothers, Francis and Felix, decided to follow him. He left Ed behind, who was at the time apparently trying to score with Liz at Bath and therefore had no idea that his brothers were "doing one" (in his words).
Fowler eventually ended up being preserved after a brief spell in Woodham Brother's scrapyard in Barry Island, though it is unknown what happened to Francis and Felix in the long run.

Fowler is sarcastic, loud mouthed and argumentative, and has a great fear of death and scrapping.
Livery[]
Fowler wore LMS black during his LMS ownership, and was repainted BR Black when he passed into BR ownership.
Basis[]
Fowler is based on an LMS Fowler 4F, designed by Henry Fowler. This is the same class as Ed and Pogo.The real 44422 Is preserved in the west somerset railway and is currently operational

- Fowler is Ed's brother. He may or may not have also been related to the living Pogo once.
